Leading up to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (which I have yet to see as I write this), there was a huge lightsaber battle at Pershing Square in downtown LA. I got there later than I would have liked, but I still had fun. While I didn’t partake in the battle, I got some photos of the action. I shot some video as well, though I’m not quite sure what to do with the footage. I may post it here at a later date.
This would be my second time attending this event and I loved it! There was not a snowball fight this time, but there were plenty of shenanigans at Civic Park. Attendees also brought protest signs with hilarious messages on them.
For anyone who does not know about this event, it is a holiday-themed bar-crawl and we use the metro as well as walking so it is best to use a Day Pass. It is also recommended that you are over the age of 21 so we do not get in trouble for any under-age drinking.
Most of these cosplays consisted of characters from the anime, Sailor Moon, which I used to watch as a kid. Cristina Vee was even a special guest!
